The League of Teams is an assembly of Heartsteal SMP teams that helps manage the server alongside the server owner.
The League serves as the primary court for disputes between players and teams. It also gives participating teams a place to discuss server issues and work toward resolving disagreements.
The server owner remains the highest authority on the server.
Participation in the League of Teams is voluntary. Teams are encouraged to participate, but no team is required to join.
Each team that participates shall send one (1) representative to the League. Each participating team shall have one (1) vote, regardless of its size.
A team may replace its representative by notifying the League.
Teams that do not participate shall still be subject to the Server Rules and the authority of the server owner.
The League may:
Hear disputes between players and teams.
Review alleged violations of the Server Rules.
Issue decisions and reasonable punishments within its authority.
Help resolve conflicts involving raids, alliances, treaties, and team agreements.
Recommend changes to the Server Rules.
Discuss server-wide issues and recommend improvements.
Request the server owner's assistance when necessary.
The League shall not use its authority to give a participating team an unfair advantage.
When a dispute is brought before the League, the League may review evidence, hear statements from the players or teams involved, and ask questions before making a decision.
Evidence may include screenshots, recordings, chat logs, and witness statements.
Players and teams shall be given a reasonable opportunity to explain their side of the dispute before a decision is made, except when immediate action is necessary to protect the server or its players.
The League may dismiss a complaint if there is not enough evidence to support it.
Each participating team shall have one (1) vote.
Unless another procedure is approved by the server owner, ordinary decisions shall require a simple majority of votes cast by participating teams present for the vote.
A representative may explain their team's position in a dispute involving their own team. The League shall consider conflicts of interest when deciding whether that representative should vote on the matter.
The League may issue warnings, require the return of stolen property where practical, and impose reasonable server-related restrictions within its authority.
If the League cannot enforce a decision using its existing permissions, it may request that the server owner enforce it.
The League shall not grant itself operator permissions or use administrative commands without authorization.
The League may hold meetings to discuss disputes, vote on decisions, and consider changes to server policies.
All League meetings shall follow the Meeting Invulnerability rules on the Heartsteal SMP Server Rules page.
The League may establish reasonable procedures for its meetings, provided they do not conflict with the Server Rules or the authority of the server owner.
The server owner is the highest authority on the Heartsteal SMP.
The server owner may review, uphold, modify, or overturn any League decision. The owner may also resolve a dispute directly or take immediate action when necessary to protect the server.
The League may advise the owner or request reconsideration of a decision, but it cannot override the owner.
The League may propose changes to its internal procedures. Changes that affect its authority, the Server Rules, or the server owner's powers require the server owner's approval.
